Sielco 1.3-2.5GHz STL - Link System OMB EM 100 DIG PLUS is a solid-state 100W low-power FM transmitter for radio broadcasting and exciter applications. Its compact rackmount format, modular construction and low electrical consumption make it suitable for stations seeking straightforward operation and integration. The transmitter delivers nominal RF output across the FM band and can also provide the drive signal for compatible higher-power transmission systems.
OMB EM 100 DIG PLUS operates across 87.5–108 MHz, with selectable 10 or 100 kHz tuning steps. Audio and composite MPX connections accommodate compatible programme sources, while an auxiliary input supports RDS or SCA signals. Selectable 25, 50 or 75 µs pre-emphasis allows configuration for the required broadcast standard. The specified audio bandwidth of 30 Hz–15 kHz supports programme reproduction, with typical mono signal-to-noise performance of 86 dB.
The OMB EM 100 DIG PLUS features a large LCD screen, multifunction rotary control and dedicated buttons provide access to operating settings and diagnostic information. The modular power section supports servicing, while automatic level control maintains output power stability within ±3%. An N-type connector provides the 50-ohm RF output, and a separate BNC sampling connection allows monitoring equipment to access an RF sample.
A stereo generator, RDS, web server/SNMP telemetry and AES/EBU digital audio input are available as options. Specify these facilities when ordering rather than assuming every transmitter includes them. The compact enclosure suits fixed installations, while the wide-range mains specification accommodates different site supplies. Allow suitable ventilation and follow the manufacturer’s installation requirements when incorporating the transmitter into a rack.
