The Glensound Signature HA6+ is a professional six-channel stereo headphone amplifier designed for broadcast studios, production environments, and commentary positions. The 1U rack-mount unit provides six independent headphone amplifiers, each with its own volume control and source mix adjustment. Two stereo XLR inputs accept a primary programme feed and a secondary auxiliary feed, both electronically balanced and configurable for stereo or mono operation. The rear panel includes a 20dB coarse gain adjustment for the programme input to accommodate different source levels.
The Glensound Signature HA6+ features individual front panel source mix controls for each headphone output, allowing smooth blending between the programme and auxiliary inputs. Full counter-clockwise provides programme only, full clockwise provides auxiliary only, and intermediate positions deliver a variable mix of both sources. A master volume control adjusts the overall level for all six amplifiers simultaneously, and can be disabled via a rear panel DIP switch if individual-only control is preferred. Each amplifier automatically compensates for headphone impedance from 32 to 1000 ohms, delivering appropriate output levels for both low-impedance consumer headphones and high-impedance professional models.
All six headphone outputs of the Glensound Signature HA6+ are available on both front panel 6.35mm TRS jack sockets and parallel rear panel XLR connectors, providing flexible connection options. Audio performance includes frequency response within -0.5dB at 20kHz, maximum output of +19dBu into 600 ohms, THD below 0.02% at 100Hz, and noise better than -83dB referenced to line-up level. Power is supplied from an internal 100-240VAC switch-mode supply or optional external ±12V DC via 4-pin XLR for redundant operation with the PS1 power station.
