The Glensound DARK88 MKII is a professional Dante/AES67 audio-over-IP breakout box for broadcast and professional audio installations. The 1U rack-mount unit provides 8 electronically balanced analog audio inputs on Neutrik XLR male connectors and 8 electronically balanced outputs on XLR female connectors, converting analog audio to and from Dante digital network streams. Network sample rates from 32kHz to 192kHz are supported, with frequency response better than -0.25dB from 20Hz to 22kHz and THD below 0.008% at 1kHz.
The Glensound DARK88 MKII is engineered for resilient broadcast applications with redundant dual power supplies accepting 100-240VAC and redundant primary and secondary Dante network links. Both network connections support magnetic copper RJ45 and fiber optic SFP interface options, allowing flexible cabling in electrically noisy environments or over long distances. The unit achieves 111dB dynamic range, greater than 109dB interchannel crosstalk isolation, and noise performance of -93dB A-weighted. Maximum input and output levels are +18dB and +18dBu respectively, with input impedance above 20kΩ and output impedance below 50Ω.
