TEKO Broadcast AXON 500W FM Transmitter combines an FM exciter and solid-state LDMOS amplifier in a compact 2U chassis. Adjustable output from zero to 500 W supports standalone broadcasting or use as a driver in a larger transmission system. Standard frequency coverage is 87.5–108 MHz, programmable in 10 kHz steps, with alternative regional bands available upon request.
The TEKO Broadcast AXON 500W transmitter provides a 50-ohm N-type RF output and a separate BNC monitoring connection. Front-panel indication of forward power, reflected power and modulation supports routine checks. Automatic power foldback responds to excessive antenna mismatch, with the published specification identifying 1.5:1 as the maximum normal VSWR. Microprocessor-controlled frequency synthesis provides stated stability better than ±150 Hz between −10 and +50°C.
TEKO Broadcast AXON 500W is available with mono/MPX or stereo input configurations. The AXON family specification includes XLR analogue audio connections and a BNC composite input for externally generated MPX signals. Selectable flat, 50 µs and 75 µs pre-emphasis supports different processing arrangements. Stereo encoding, AES/EBU digital input and Audio over IP are configuration-dependent facilities that should be confirmed against the supplied unit.
An LCD display, direct-access keys and status LEDs provide local control. Seven stored setups support multi-configuration applications, including integration into suitable N+1 systems. Available options include dynamic RDS with TMC, web TCP/IP and SNMP connectivity, and a parallel remote-control interface. Aluminium construction, a serviceable front air filter and ducted cooling support equipment-room installation. Specify the required audio and control options together rather than assuming every advertised capability is included.
