The Glensound Signature HA1M is a broadcast specification two channel headphone amplifier designed for studio, commentary, and production monitoring. It provides two transformer balanced XLR inputs that can be used either as 2 x mono inputs or as a single stereo input, selected by a front panel mono/stereo switch. In stereo mode the left input feeds the left ear and the right input feeds the right ear, while in mono mode each input is routed to both ears.
Each input on the Glensound Signature HA1M has its own level control, allowing independent adjustment of the left and right channels or the two mono sources. The front panel offers two headphone outputs, one on a 6.35mm jack and one on a 3.5mm jack, and the drivers are arranged so that different impedance headphones or earpieces can be used on each socket at the same time. Headphone impedance from 32 to 1000 ohms is supported for compatibility with a wide range of headsets and single-ear pieces.
The rear panel provides a mono mix output on balanced XLR that combines both inputs for onward distribution, with electronically balanced circuitry that can also accept unbalanced connections. Technical performance includes frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz, maximum headphone output of +20dB into 1k ohms, THD below 0.015% at 100Hz and 10kHz, and noise better than -89dB RMS. Power is supplied from an internal 100-240VAC switch-mode supply or external ±12V DC via 4‑pin XLR.
The Glensound Signature HA1M is ideal for control rooms, voice booths, and commentary positions needing two flexible headphone feeds in a compact 1U chassis. Pairs well with the DARK88 MKII Dante breakout for converting network audio sources to analogue inputs or the Signature PS1 power station for redundant DC power.
