Glensound GS‑TRRS Stereo Mobile Phone Audio Interface

The Glensound GS-TRRS Stereo Mobile Phone Audio Interface connects a single mobile phone to broadcast audio systems, providing balanced and unbalanced stereo I/O, TRRS headset connection, front panel level control and USB charging.

The Glensound GS-TRRS Stereo Mobile Phone Audio Interface is a professional analogue interface for connecting a single mobile phone to broadcast audio equipment. It works with both Apple and Android phones and is designed for studios, newsrooms and OB environments that need reliable wired phone contributions instead of consumer adaptors or ad‑hoc cabling.

The GS‑TRRS connects to the phone via its 4‑pole TRRS headset jack and provides balanced stereo line level inputs and outputs on XLR, plus unbalanced stereo connections in parallel for direct interfacing with PCs and other unbalanced devices. Audio from the console or router is converted to the correct level and impedance for the phone microphone input, while the headphone output from the phone is converted back to broadcast line level for routing and mixing.

Easy‑to‑use front panel level controls allow engineers to trim send and return levels quickly during live calls. A front‑panel switch selects the correct wiring standard for Apple CTIA or OMTP Android pinouts, ensuring compatibility across common handsets. Four integrated USB charging points keep phones powered during longer interviews, and the interface can be mains powered with a DC backup input for additional resilience on‑air.

By combining broadcast‑grade analogue circuitry, flexible balanced and unbalanced I/O and robust TRRS connectivity, the Glensound GS-TRRS offers a dependable way to integrate mobile phones into professional audio workflows.
