Glensound Express IP Mini X Dante Commentary Unit

Glensound Express IP Mini X Dante Commentary Unit provides two commentators with a compact, easy-to-operate position for sports coverage, outside broadcasts and studio production. Its Dante/AES67 network interface carries microphone and talkback audio, while direct analogue XLR outputs provide Mic A, Mic B and a mix of both. Power the unit by PoE or AC mains to suit the available site infrastructure.

Two-User Commentary

Each commentator has a front-panel XLR microphone input with adjustable gain and switchable 48 V phantom power. Individual compressor/limiter circuits help control sudden speech peaks. Configurable microphone buttons allow each user to switch their programme feed or use a cough-style mute, while a seven-segment PPM meter displays the mix output level.

Talkback and Headphones

Glensound Express IP Mini X provides two common talkback circuits, each with a button for both commentators. The buttons support latching, momentary, intelligent and cough-style operating modes. Each user can build a personal headphone mix from four external sources, then adjust their own voice and the other commentator separately. Two front-panel 6.35 mm headphone sockets complete the local monitoring position.

Network and Analogue Outputs

A single EtherCON connection carries four Dante/AES67 inputs, four outputs and PoE. Network outputs provide Talkback 1, Talkback 2, Mic 1 and a selectable Mic 2 or combined microphone mix. The additional XLR line-level outputs make the X useful where a production also needs direct analogue microphone or mix feeds.
