Glensound EXPRESS ip MINI Dante Commentary Unit gives two commentators a straightforward network-audio position for sports coverage, news events and studio production. Its compact desktop design combines two microphone inputs, personal headphone monitoring and two shared talkback circuits. A single EtherCON network connection carries Dante/AES67 audio and Power over Ethernet, helping keep temporary and permanent installations simple.

Two-User Commentary

Each commentator has a microphone input with adjustable gain and selectable 48 V phantom power. Individual compressor/limiter circuits help prevent overload when speech levels rise during live coverage. Configurable mic on/off controls allow the operating behaviour to suit the production, while a front-panel PPM meter shows the outgoing audio level.

Talkback and Monitoring

Glensound EXPRESS ip MINI provides two common talkback circuits, with controls available to both commentators. Each person can set a preferred headphone mix from four external monitor inputs, alongside separate controls for their own voice and the other commentator’s voice. This makes it easier to balance programme sound, production cues and local speech without changing the mix heard by the second user.

Dante/AES67 Integration

The unit has four network-audio inputs and four outputs. Its Dante outputs carry Talkback 1, Talkback 2, Mic 1 and either Mic 2 or a mix of both microphones, depending on the selected setting.
