DEVA DB7008 FM & DAB/DAB+ Re-Broadcast Receiver

DEVA DB7008 Rebroadcast Receiver provides advanced FM and DAB/DAB+ reception with IP audio and MP3 backup for continuous on-air rebroadcast.

Product overview

The DEVA DB7008 Rebroadcast Receiver is a next-generation platform for FM and DAB/DAB+ off-air reception, rebroadcast and signal monitoring. It combines high-selectivity DSP-based tuners, audio decoding and multiple backup paths in a single 1U chassis. Designed for main and translator sites, it can receive, process and feed program audio back into your FM transmitters or contribution links with high reliability. As part of the wider DEVA Broadcast portfolio, it follows the same web-based control and logging philosophy used across their monitoring products.

Key features

  • FM and DAB/DAB+ tuners for flexible off-air rebroadcast scenarios
  • High-selectivity DSP front end with detailed RF and audio metering
  • IP audio decoder with support for multiple stream formats and profiles
  • Integrated MP3 backup player on SD card for automatic failover
  • Adjustable alarms for RF, audio, metadata and streaming conditions
  • Web interface, SNMP and email alerts for remote supervision
  • Balanced analog, AES/EBU and composite outputs for easy integration
  • Compact 1U rackmount design with low power consumption

Connectivity and I/O

The DEVA DB7008 Rebroadcast Receiver provides RF antenna inputs for FM and DAB/DAB+ bands, balanced analog and AES/EBU audio outputs, composite/MPX output and IP audio over Ethernet. Rear-panel connectors also include GPIO alarm contacts, USB, SD card slot and network ports to support monitoring, backup and remote file management workflows.

In operation

In daily use, the DEVA DB7008 Rebroadcast Receiver delivers stable off-air audio with automatic switchover between RF, IP and MP3 backup sources. Engineers can monitor RF parameters, audio levels and service metadata via the web interface or SNMP, with configurable alarms to flag issues before they affect listeners. This makes the unit well suited for main transmitters, gap-fillers and networked rebroadcast sites where continuity and visibility are critical.
