DB MOZART NEXT 3000 is part of the Mozart NEXT family of compact analogue solid-state FM transmitters covering 30 W to 7000 W, designed for high efficiency and reliability in 19″ rack systems. Operating across the 87.5–108 MHz FM band with 10 kHz frequency steps, the transmitter delivers up to 3000 W of RF power through an EIA 7/8″ output connector in a 3RU chassis, making it suitable for main transmitters and medium-power relay sites.
The Mozart NEXT design optimises passive and active RF stages to reach AC efficiency figures above 70 %, reducing operating costs and heat load compared with traditional FM transmitters. A built‑in high‑performance digital stereo encoder provides stereo separation typically greater than 65 dB and a signal‑to‑noise ratio better than 80 dB, ensuring clean on‑air sound for music and speech formats. Pilot tone phase and level can be adjusted from the front panel or via the web interface, and an internal limiter with configurable bandwidth helps maintain deviation within specifications.
DB MOZART NEXT 3000 accepts a wide range of program inputs including mono, stereo (left/right), MPX, SCA, RDS, AUX and AES/EBU digital, with fine input sensitivity adjustment in 0.05 dB steps from the display or web GUI. Integrated MSE Magnetic Sound Enhancer technology protects the modulator VCO to improve audio stability, while advanced VSWR protection rated up to 65:1, comprehensive alarms and event logging increase system safety and uptime. Remote supervision and control are available via an embedded web server and SNMP, enabling engineers to monitor power, temperature, alarms and audio parameters from network management systems.
With its 3 kW output, compact 3RU form factor and high efficiency, DB MOZART NEXT 3000 is well suited as a main transmitter for regional FM services, as a driver for modular high‑power systems or as a robust backup at larger sites. Broadcasters needing different power levels can choose other Mozart NEXT models from 30 W up to 7 kW, or modular PFG NEXT transmitters that combine a Mozart exciter with external amplifiers to reach powers up to 50 kW using the same RF platform.
