Biquad Acadia Nano RDS/RBDS Encoder

Biquad Acadia Nano is a compact RDS/RBDS encoder for FM radio that adds station names, song titles and custom messages to receiver displays, with web-based configuration, scheduling and automation integration.

Biquad Acadia Nano RDS/RBDS Encoder is a compact, economical way for FM stations to add Radio Data System features to their transmission chain. It generates RDS/RBDS data such as station name, programme information, song titles and messages, so listeners see useful text on compatible receivers while they listen to your audio signal.

The encoder is configured via an intuitive HTML web interface that can be accessed from any browser on the local network. Through this interface engineers can set basic RDS parameters, programme identifiers and alternative frequencies, as well as manage scrolling messages and dynamic text fields. A built-in scheduler allows messages to be triggered at specific times or repeated on a timetable, making it easy to display promotions, programme names or announcements automatically throughout the day.

The Biquad Acadia Nano supports integration with automation and playout systems via the CONECTOR plugin, enabling automatic updates of song titles and other metadata without manual intervention. It is compatible with both the European RDS and North American RBDS standards, and is designed to integrate with FM transmitters or stereo encoders in professional broadcast environments. A front-panel OLED display provides quick status information at the rack, while the compact rack version makes it easy to combine Acadia Nano with other Biquad modular equipment in a 19‑inch frame.

Biquad Acadia Nano is designed to sit in the FM transmission chain alongside modern transmitters rather than in the studio. It can feed the composite or RDS inputs of compact units like the
RVR TEX30LCD/S 30W FM transmitter, scalable systems such as the
RFE Broadcast DS1000C 30W–1.1kW FM transmitter, or complete solutions like the
RFE Broadcast 1kW FM Package. Using Acadia Nano with these transmitters keeps RDS generation close to the RF chain, where it belongs, and simplifies cabling between the stereo encoder, RDS encoder and exciter.
