TEKO Broadcast N+1 Automatic Change-Over Controller

TEKO Broadcast N+1 is an automatic transmitter change-over controller with configurable priorities, touchscreen operation, web/SNMP access and dual redundant power supplies for broadcast redundancy systems.

TEKO Broadcast N+1 Automatic Change-Over Controller manages transmitter redundancy by coordinating multiple main transmitters with one shared standby unit. When a monitored transmitter fails, the controller directs the required transmitter, RF-switching and audio-selection actions so the standby can serve the affected programme. Configurable switching conditions, priorities and timings allow the installation to follow the broadcaster’s operating requirements.

Coordinated Transmitter Changeover

The TEKO Broadcast N+1 controller supervises the main transmitters, standby transmitter, coaxial switches and audio preselector. The standby must support the frequency, output power and programme configuration of each main transmitter it may replace. TEKO specifies compatibility with different transmitter brands and models, subject to appropriate control interfaces and integration. Automatic or manual operation is available locally and remotely, supporting routine testing as well as fault response.

Touchscreen Control and Remote Access

TEKO Broadcast N+1 provides a colour touchscreen, status indication and direct-access controls for local management. A restore button returns the system to its default configuration. The web interface and SNMP protocol support remote supervision, while six priority levels help determine how the shared standby resource is allocated. Switching conditions and delays are configurable; sub-second switching is described as configurable rather than guaranteed for every complete installation.

Interfaces and System Integration

Dry-contact relay outputs, opto-isolated inputs and electrically isolated I/O supplies support connection to external equipment. Dual redundant power supplies strengthen controller resilience. A complete installation additionally requires compatible transmitters, correctly rated coaxial switches, audio selection, interconnection wiring and a suitable dummy load. Confirm whether these components are included in the purchase or supplied separately, particularly when ordering the controller rather than a turnkey system.
