Installed in a standard PCIe slot, the card digitizes the entire FM band from 87.5 to 108.5 MHz, with up to 32 individual software-defined tuners available depending on factory configuration. Each tuner frequency is set in software, and audio appears as a standard Windows audio input device for seamless integration with recording and automation systems.
The Sonifex PC-FM achieves audio distortion below 0.01% through linear phase filtering and FPGA-based FM demodulation. The card operates with 75-ohm RF input impedance, 10µV sensitivity for 40dB signal-to-noise ratio, and accepts maximum input up to 150mV RMS. Audio is sampled at 48kHz with automatic Windows rate conversion support.
