Sonifex LD-RPC SignalLED remote programming controller is a handheld device that simplifies colour, brightness and switching mode configuration for SignalLED illuminated studio signs.
The controller replaces DIP switch programming with an intuitive infrared remote interface, allowing one LD-RPC unit to program multiple signs across a facility.
This makes it ideal for broadcast studios, recording environments and any application requiring visual status indication like “ON AIR”, “MIC LIVE” or “RECORD”.
SignalLED signs arrive preconfigured to display standard colours when pull-low control inputs are active, but Sonifex LD-RPC unlocks eight additional colour options and advanced switching modes.
The controller supports single signs (20cm or 40cm) and twin signs that can be split into two independent 20cm sections with separate or joint control.
Programming begins by opening the sign’s access door to expose the IR receiver, then pointing the LD-RPC remote and holding the PROGRAM button for three seconds until the LEDs cascade away.
Sonifex LD-RPC configures four input states based on the combination of two pull-low signalling inputs at the sign’s screw-terminal connector block.
For each state, users can adjust the divide point to split the sign into sections, set individual colours and brightness levels, and choose operation modes including on, off, flash, pulse or fade.
The controller’s LEDs in the IR opening confirm which input state is being programmed, making configuration intuitive even for complex multi-colour multi-mode setups.
SignalLED signs powered by Sonifex LD-RPC offer white, orange, cyan, red, magenta, blue, green and yellow colours, with brightness control and precise section sizing for custom displays.
The LD-RPC is sold separately and works with any number of compatible SignalLED signs, eliminating the need for DIP switch access during installation or reconfiguration.
