The Solidyne ADA102 Digital Audio Codec is a standalone IP audio link for studio-to-transmitter paths, inter-studio networking and remote programme feeds. It accepts balanced analogue stereo audio and optional AES-3 digital audio, then delivers reliable TCP/IP or RTP streaming over standard Ethernet networks for broadcast contribution and STL use.
The unit can operate as an encoder or decoder, depending on software configuration, and supports MP3, 16-bit PCM and G.711 aLaw/uLaw modes. Full-duplex operation is available in PCM and G.711 modes, allowing simultaneous send and return audio between sites. A standard web browser is used for control and setup, while a USB pen drive can provide emergency audio playback if the network stream fails.
The Solidyne ADA102 pairs well with Solidyne DX mixing consoles at the studio end and with broadcast processors or RDS coders at the transmitter site. It is a practical choice for broadcasters needing a compact, flexible and low-cost digital audio codec.
