Solidyne 542 APC FM AM Streaming DAB Processor

The Solidyne 542 APC FM AM Streaming DAB Processor is a universal 5‑band broadcast processor designed to handle FM, AM, HD, TV, web streaming and DAB from a single platform. It combines a powerful software‑based audio core with an integrated FM receiver, modulation monitor and RDS/RBDS encoder, allowing engineers to optimise the entire transmission chain from processor output to antenna.

Processing architecture includes wideband AGC followed by five bands of AGC, compression, limiting and distortion‑cancelled clipping, providing high loudness with clean sound and strong control of speech levels. The internal FM tuner measures deviation, pilot, MPX power and other parameters, while the built‑in RDS encoder injects programme service data into the multiplex. Optional 542/AoIP firmware adds LAN streaming input so the unit can act as both processor and IP STL decoder at the transmitter site.
