RigExpert AA-2000 ZOOM Antenna and Cable Analyser provides portable RF measurements from 0.1–2000 MHz for antenna adjustment, feeder checks and troubleshooting. It combines SWR and impedance analysis with time-domain reflectometry and dedicated cable tools. An 800 × 480-pixel Blanview colour display presents measurement results clearly, while graphical zoom helps users examine individual details within a selected frequency sweep.

Antenna and Impedance Analysis

Single-frequency and swept measurements help assess matching across an antenna’s operating range. SWR charts, resistance and reactance charts, and Smith charts provide different views of the connected system. Selectable reference impedances support systems from 25 to 600 ohms, while 1 kHz frequency entry enables precise setup. Open-short-load calibration supports measurements through additional fixtures, with ten user calibration profiles available for different test arrangements.

Cable Testing and Fault Location

The RigExpert AA-2000 ZOOM integrated time-domain reflectometer produces charts that help locate faults within a feedline system. Dedicated tools measure cable length, velocity factor, loss and characteristic impedance. The stub tuner assists with coaxial matching-section adjustment, while the LC meter supports checks of inductive and capacitive components. These functions help users investigate whether a poor match originates at the antenna, along the cable or within another connected RF element.

Portable Display and Connectivity

RigExpert AA-2000 ZOOM combines an 18-key water-resistant keypad with multilingual menus and help screens. USB provides computer connectivity and power from a connected computer or suitable USB supply, while Bluetooth 4.2 LE supports compatible wireless connections. Three AA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries provide portable operation, with up to four hours of continuous measurement under the manufacturer’s stated conditions. Supplied accessories include a soft case, charger, rechargeable batteries, USB cable and N-to-UHF adapter.
