RigExpert 770 MPA-LD Bidirectional RF Amplifier provides transmit and receive amplification across 740–810 MHz for compatible low-voltage communication systems. It combines 20 dB transmit gain with 15 dB receive gain and automatic VOX-based switching. Designed for integration into 5 V equipment, the compact module supports UAV links, software-defined radio, IoT devices, professional and amateur-radio systems, and laboratory installations.
RigExpert 770 MPA-LD specifies 2.82 W continuous-wave output and 3.53 W pulse output at 750 MHz. These are separate operating ratings, so the higher pulse figure should not be presented as continuous output. Published laboratory conditions are a 5.00 V supply and +22°C ambient temperature. Confirm performance for the intended frequency, waveform and installation rather than assuming identical output throughout the operating band.
Automatic signal-triggered switching changes the amplifier between transmit and receive operation, reducing the need for manual mode control. Adjustable VOX sensitivity allows the switching threshold to be matched to the application. The published input-power range is 3–20 dBm, with 20 dBm also listed as the standard absolute maximum. Check the connected radio’s output before applying RF drive, and do not assume that every transmitter can connect directly.
RigExpert 770 MPA-LD uses MMCX RF connectors and passive cooling for integration into a larger assembly. The recommended supply range is 4.75–5.25 V DC, with nominal operation at 5 V. Published consumption is 10 W in transmit mode and 0.4 W in receive mode. ESD protection and EMI shielding are included, but the installation must still provide suitable power wiring, mechanical support, ventilation and RF connections.
