Operating across 531-1700 kHz with 50-ohm impedance, the NX1 delivers 1 kW carrier power using the proven NX Series architecture deployed in over 40 MW of high-power AM installations worldwide. The transmitter employs six-phase direct digital modulation with advanced digital precorrection, providing exceptional linearity and spectral cleanliness for both analog AM and digital transmission modes.
The Nautel NX1 is the industry’s first low-power AM transmitter specifically engineered for digital operation, supporting HD Radio including MA3 all-digital mode and all current DRM configurations. Modulation capability exceeds 135% positive peak, while THD+N remains below 0.5% across the audio band.
