The Kvarta TV Stream Monitor is a 1U rackmount probe for continuous IPTV, OTT and transport-stream-over-IP supervision in broadcast and operator networks. It monitors multiple MPEG-TS and HLS services around the clock, checking packet integrity, delay and bitrate while generating alarms and detailed logs for NOC and engineering teams. With an embedded web interface and SNMP support, the unit drops easily into existing IP infrastructure and network management systems.
The probe connects via Ethernet and cycles through a user-defined list of IP streams, measuring QoS parameters such as packet loss, jitter, delay and continuity counter errors for each service. Thresholds can be set per stream, triggering alarms when values exceed limits or when TR 101 290 events occur. Logged data can be reviewed through the web GUI or exported for deeper analysis.
SNMP support allows integration with third-party NMS platforms, while e-mail notifications provide lightweight alerting for smaller sites.
