The Glensound Signature SW 82 is a broadcast-specification 8-channel source selector, switch, and mixer designed for professional studio and radio applications. The 1RU rackmount unit provides 8 balanced audio inputs on rear panel Neutrik XLR sockets that can be configured as 8 mono inputs or 4 stereo inputs via rear panel dip switches, making it ideal for adding multiple sources to mixing desks or creating flexible monitoring and routing solutions.
Eight large illuminated front panel buttons turn sources on and off. In mono mode, the buttons operate as 8 individual switches, while in stereo mode they function as 4 stereo pairs. Three rear panel dip switches configure switch or mix mode, mono or stereo operation, and output level pre or post headphone volume. Switch mode outputs one selected channel, while mix mode combines all selected sources into a mixed output.
The Glensound Signature SW 82 front panel includes a 6.35mm TRS headphone jack with full-size volume pot for output monitoring. Two balanced Neutrik XLR outputs on the rear panel provide the main output. Power is supplied by an internal switch mode PSU accepting 100-240 VAC, with an additional 4-pin Neutrik XLR socket for external ±12V DC connection to the optional Signature PS1 Power Station for redundant power operation.
