Using the dedicated μMPX (MicroMPX) algorithm from Thimeo, it delivers high-quality FM MPX decoding at bitrates starting from 320 kbps while preserving stereo and RDS integrity over narrowband or public IP links. The unit adds full Single Frequency Network support through ultra-precise GPS timing, aligning audio and MPX output with sub-microsecond accuracy across multiple transmitters. This deterministic, GPS-locked timing ensures phase-coherent coverage and reliable long-term synchronisation in complex SFN deployments.

Connectivity and I/O

The DEVA DB94-SFN MPX Decoder provides an analog MPX output on BNC with up to +16 dBu level and a digital AES192 MPX output on balanced RJ-45. A DB15 GPS port accepts NMEA 0183 and 1 PPS sync, while the rear panel also includes a Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port, USB Type A for backup audio, a 12V DC power jack and GPIO via the network interface for monitoring and control.
