It adheres to the ETSI EN 300 401 DAB standard and supports Program Associated Data (PAD), standard bitrates, and VBR, while automatically displaying live metadata.

While monitoring and logging signals, the DB7012 measures various DAB signal parameters, including RSSI, SNR, CNR, FIC Quality, FIB Errors, FFT Offset, and Left & Right Audio levels. These measurements are stored for future analysis and can be downloaded via a standard FTP client. The device ensures no interruption of the broadcast signal by offering local alarm options and online notifications through rear-panel alarm GPOs, E-mail, and SNMP in case of audio loss or signal changes.

The BandScan function provides an overview of all available DAB/DAB+ signals and their RF signal strength within any section of Band III. The generated spectrum diagram shows RF Level versus channels.
