Delta Electronics CPB-1 is a common point impedance bridge for permanent installation in AM phasing equipment, allowing licensed impedance and power to be checked on‑air.
Delta Electronics CPB-1 is a common point impedance bridge designed for permanent installation at the junction of AM directional antenna systems. It lets engineers read the common point resistance and reactance directly while the transmitter operates at normal power and modulation, so the array can be kept at its licensed impedance and power without taking the station off‑air.
The bridge is based on Delta’s well-known operating impedance bridge design but optimised for fixed mounting inside phasing or matching equipment. Two large 4-inch dials show resistance from approximately 30 to 100 ohms and reactance over a ±50 ohm range at 1 MHz, with typical accuracy of about ±2% ±1 ohm. By observing these dials, engineers can quickly see when the common point impedance drifts due to seasonal or system changes and make small adjustments to the phasing network to restore the authorised operating conditions.
Delta Electronics CPB-1 can also be supplied with a factory-integrated
Delta TCA RF Ammeter System, giving a combined solution where engineers can see both operating impedance and RF current at the common point for quick confirmation of licensed power and antenna phasing.
