Biquad DA22 Dante Audio Interface

Biquad DA22 is a compact Dante audio interface that converts Dante network audio into balanced analogue outputs on XLR connectors, giving broadcasters and studios an easy way to feed legacy consoles, processors and recorders from modern AoIP systems.

Biquad DA22 Dante Audio Interface is designed for radio, TV, podcast and installed-sound facilities that already distribute audio over Dante but still rely on analogue equipment at key points in the chain. Where AD22 brings analogue into a Dante network, DA22 does the reverse: it takes Dante digital audio and converts it back to balanced analogue so existing consoles, processors, monitoring chains or recording devices can receive programme audio without modification.

This makes the Biquad DA22 particularly useful at the output side of AoIP systems. Dante-enabled routers, mixers or automation systems can send audio to DA22 over standard Ethernet, and the interface presents that signal on two analogue XLR outputs. Engineers can then patch these outputs into any line-level analogue input, extending the reach of the Dante network to legacy hardware such as studio mixers, distribution amplifiers, recorders, or analogue monitor chains in control rooms and technical areas.

Using the Dante protocol, DA22 integrates cleanly into existing IP audio infrastructure. Once connected, its output channels appear as Dante receivers that can be fed from any Dante source in the system, configured via Dante Controller. This allows flexible routing, simple reconfiguration and makes it easy to repurpose analogue equipment between studios or program chains without moving cables or changing physical wiring.

  • Dante audio interface for converting Dante network audio to balanced analogue
  • Feeds legacy consoles, processors and recorders from AoIP systems
  • Uses standard Ethernet and Dante Controller for routing and setup
  • Ideal at the output side of radio, TV and podcast Dante networks
  • Useful in migration projects where IP and analogue equipment coexist
  • Helps extend Dante distribution into existing analogue monitor and record chains

Biquad DA22 can be incorporated into complete radio studio and audio network installations supplied through Broadcasters Warehouse, sitting alongside interfaces such as the Biquad AD22 Dante Audio Interface and other AoIP components. Together, these interfaces provide a practical bridge between modern Dante-based infrastructures and dependable analogue studio hardware that stations and production facilities still rely on.
