The AudioScience ASI5811 is a professional PCI Express linear sound card designed for radio broadcast production, automation, and web streaming systems. It provides four stereo PCM playback streams mixed to one stereo output and two stereo record streams fed from a single balanced analog or AES/EBU digital input, making it ideal for multi-channel playout and recording workflows.
The AudioScience ASI5811 includes balanced stereo analog input and output on the breakout cable, with matching AES/EBU digital input and output carrying the same program audio. A dedicated microphone input with low-noise preamp and switchable 48V phantom power is provided for live voice, and onboard DSP offers a compressor/limiter and three-band equalizer to shape mic sound directly on the card.
GPIO is available via four opto-isolated inputs and two relay outputs for interfacing with studio logic, tallies, and automation triggers. High-quality 24-bit A/D and D/A converters deliver up to 100dB signal-to-noise ratio with 0.0025% THD+N across sample rates from 11kHz to 192kHz, and MRX multi-rate mixing technology allows digital mixing of multiple sample rates on the same adapter. SoundGuard transient suppression protects all I/O against lightning and surge events.
The AudioScience ASI5811 is a low-profile PCIe card supplied with full- and half-height brackets for use in standard and small form factor PCs, and supports up to eight cards per system with Windows and Linux drivers. For complementary broadcast playout and logging software, pair with professional automation systems available from Broadcasters Warehouse.
