The Altronic 6415 – Omega-line Air Cooled Coaxial Load is a 15 kW air-cooled RF dummy load designed for 50-ohm coaxial transmission line systems used in broadcast, laboratory and transmitter test environments. Part of the 6400 Series, the Altronic 6415 air cooled coaxial load delivers the same high performance as larger Omegaline loads in a more compact, oil-free package.
Rated for 15 kW continuous duty from DC to 240 MHz, the Altronic 6415 Omega-line air cooled coaxial load provides a stable, non-reactive 50-ohm termination for high-power FM, VHF and low-band TV transmitters, RF amplifiers and component testing. Its precision resistor assembly is cooled by forced air, maintaining low VSWR of 1.10:1 up to 110 MHz and 1.15:1 up to 240 MHz to protect transmitters during alignment, proof-of-performance or standby operation.
The Altronic 6415 features a rugged aluminum and steel enclosure with interlock contacts, safety screens and an easily serviced fan assembly, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding transmitter rooms. Input connection options include 1-5/8-inch or 3-1/8-inch EIA flanged or unflanged connectors, allowing direct connection to common transmission line standards without adapters. Operating from 115 or 230 VAC fan power, the 6415 can be floor-mounted or installed above transmitters where space is limited, providing a convenient high-power test and standby load.
