Biquad HELLO 1 Single‑Line Telephone Hybrid

Biquad HELLO 1 is a single-line modular telephone hybrid for studio call-ins over POTS, with balanced audio, echo cancellation and standard 19″ rack mounting.

Biquad HELLO 1 is a modular single-line telephone hybrid designed for bringing listeners and guests on air from a standard POTS or PBX line. It fits standard 19″ rack formats and is intended for FM and AM radio, TV studios, recording rooms, production suites, OB units and podcast studios that need reliable phone call integration.

The hybrid circuit separates send and return paths to and from the telephone line, providing the 2-wire to 4-wire transformation needed for clean studio talk shows. Balanced audio inputs and outputs give good noise rejection, and echo cancellation helps keep the announcer’s feed from returning to the caller, reducing feedback and hollow-sounding audio. HELLO 1 works with conventional telephone lines or PBX extensions, making it suitable for both direct public lines and internal office systems.

On the front panel, Biquad HELLO 1 provides controls and indicators so operators can answer and release calls, adjust the level sent to the line and the return level feeding the console, and monitor line status. The rugged rack chassis is designed for continuous use in on-air environments. RFI filters on the telephone line and audio I/O, along with surge protection, help maintain stable operation in RF-heavy sites and protect connected studio gear.
