SYES PCM 50 DAB – Compact 50W DAB/DAB+ Transmitter delivers 50 W RMS digital radio output in a 19-inch, 1U enclosure. Its air-cooled design combines signal processing, frequency synchronisation and remote supervision in a compact broadcast platform. The N-type female RF output provides a 50-ohm connection, while frequency-agile operation removes the need for routine tuning or trimming when changing supported channels.
The SYES PCM 50 DAB platform supports DAB, DAB+ and DMB, with DAB modes I, II, III and IV and 1.536 MHz RF channel blocks. SYES lists hitless EDI/ETI switching, Gigabit Ethernet and an optical/electrical SFP interface. Input quantities and connector arrangements depend on the installed exciter hardware. Confirm the required ensemble feed, redundancy arrangement and operating configuration when ordering.
SYES PCM 50 DAB incorporates a GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo for single-frequency network applications. External 10 MHz and 1 PPS reference facilities are also documented. Manual, automatic and adaptive linear and nonlinear precorrection help optimise the transmitted signal. Actual output capability depends on channel, filtering, supply conditions and the required spectral performance.
A front-panel LCD and keyboard provide local control, while a browser-based interface and SNMP support remote monitoring without additional plug-ins. USB configuration save/load simplifies setup and servicing. Two independently temperature-controlled, low-noise fans provide cooling. The auto-ranging mains supply accepts 90–264 V AC at 47–63 Hz, and the published operating temperature range is 0–50°C. Allow suitable rack ventilation and confirm the site’s output-filter and antenna-system requirements before commissioning.
