SYES PCM 10 DAB – Compact DAB/DAB+ Transmitter

SYES PCM 10 DAB – Compact DAB/DAB+ Transmitter provides digital radio transmission in a 19-inch, 1U enclosure. Based on the PCM VHF platform, it combines RF generation, signal correction and monitoring within one compact unit. The current factory platform sheet specifies up to 20 W RMS for DAB operation, subject to channel, signal-quality requirements and output-filter configuration.

Digital Radio Inputs and Synchronisation

The published platform supports ETI/EDI connectivity alongside IP Ethernet interfaces, with the exact number and type of inputs dependent on the installed hardware. An onboard GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. External reference connections and configurable timing facilities support integration into appropriately specified synchronised transmission systems. Confirm the required ensemble feed, timing arrangement and DAB/DAB+ configuration before commissioning.

Adaptive Precorrection and RF Performance

SYES PCM 10 DAB uses linear and nonlinear precorrection to optimise the transmitted signal. Manual, automatic and adaptive correction facilities support adjustment of the RF chain. The VHF Band III platform specifies a 170–230 MHz output range and an N-type female RF connector. Commission the unit for the authorised channel and required emission mask rather than assuming every frequency or maximum power setting is suitable for the installation.

Compact Cooling and Remote Management

Two independently temperature-controlled, low-noise fans provide air cooling. USB configuration storage simplifies saving and loading settings, while a browser-based interface supports monitoring without additional plug-ins. SNMP and dry contacts provide integration with external supervision systems. The published operating range is 0–50°C, with up to 95% non-condensing humidity. Allow suitable airflow and service access when installing the transmitter in an equipment rack.
