RigExpert Tokenblauser GPSDO GPS-Disciplined Oscillator and Reference Clock

RigExpert Tokenblauser GPSDO is a GPS-disciplined reference clock with four programmable outputs, a fixed 10 MHz reference and USB connectivity.

RigExpert Tokenblauser GPSDO GPS-Disciplined Oscillator and Reference Clock provides a stable frequency source for laboratory measurements, QO-100 equipment and RF or microwave experiments. Unlike a fixed-output reference alone, it generates four independently programmable frequencies alongside a dedicated 10 MHz output. Its GPS-disciplined architecture combines an oven-controlled crystal oscillator with satellite timing to support long-term frequency stability.

Four Programmable Clock Outputs

RigExpert Tokenblauser GPSDO Outputs A, B, C and D provide independent frequency entry from 0.16–200 MHz in 1 Hz steps, with very fine adjustment available in 1 ppt steps. The separate 10 MHz reference remains available for compatible equipment. All five outputs use BNC connectors and standard 3.3 V CMOS signal levels. These are clock outputs, not standard sine-wave RF generator outputs; alternative signal formats require the applicable hardware or software modifications.

GPS-Disciplined Frequency Stability

RigExpert Tokenblauser GPSDO offers published stability of 0.001 ppm or better, with performance dependent on GPSDO settings, antenna location and satellite signal levels. The documented GNSS receiver supports GPS and Galileo through an external active antenna. This makes antenna placement an important part of installation rather than an optional consideration when seeking the stated reference performance.

Local Control and USB Integration

A 0.91-inch monochrome OLED display and three front-panel buttons provide local control, while four frequency profiles allow quick switching between stored output configurations. USB 2.0 presents a virtual serial port for Windows, macOS and Linux computers. The device requires external DC power and is not powered through USB. Arduino SAMD21 compatibility and open-source firmware support development and experimentation, including diagnostic data analysis with suitable software.
