Designed for SDR, UAV, amateur-radio, IoT and test applications, the compact module uses a nominal 5 V supply and 50-ohm matched RF interfaces.
RigExpert 2.4GPA publishes headline transmit output levels of +34 dBm in continuous-wave operation and up to +36 dBm in pulse operation. The detailed datasheet specifies performance at 2.4 GHz with +13 dBm drive, so these figures should not be treated as guaranteed output across every frequency and operating condition. Receive amplification provides approximately 10 dB gain for small signals within the passband.
Signal-triggered VOX switching changes the amplifier between transmit and receive modes without routine manual changeover. The VOX threshold can be altered by replacing resistors, making adjustment a hardware task rather than a front-panel setting. The published transmit input range is +9 to +14.5 dBm, with +13 dBm typical; confirm the connected radio’s output before installation. Maximum receive input is −2 dBm.
RigExpert 2.4GPA operates from a recommended supply range of 4.75–5.25 V, with 5 V nominal. The separate 5.5 V absolute maximum is a damage-limit specification, not a recommended operating setting. ESD protection is included, but suitable handling and system integration remain important. Published consumption is 9.1 W in the stated CW test condition and 0.3 W in receive mode, so provide an appropriately rated supply and account for heat dissipation.
