RigExpert AA-650 ZOOM Antenna and Cable Analyser provides portable RF measurements from 0.1–650 MHz for antenna adjustment, feeder checks and troubleshooting. It combines SWR and impedance analysis with dedicated cable tools and time-domain reflectometry. Designed for amateur radio, commercial radio and telecom applications, the analyser helps users check antenna performance, investigate cable faults and measure reactive loads at the workbench or installation site.

Antenna and Impedance Analysis

Single-frequency measurements include SWR, return loss, resistance, reactance, impedance magnitude, inductance and capacitance. Swept SWR, R/X, Smith and return-loss charts provide different views of the connected antenna or RF system, with selectable resolutions from 20 to 500 points. Graphical zoom helps examine details within a measurement trace. Optional open-short-load calibration supports measurements through additional fixtures, while 100 non-volatile memory slots store results for later reference.

Cable Testing and Fault Location

The RigExpert AA-650 ZOOM integrated time-domain reflectometer produces charts that help locate faults within a feedline system. Dedicated tools measure cable length and velocity factor, display cable loss and characteristic impedance, and assist with coaxial stub tuning. These functions help distinguish an antenna-matching problem from a feeder issue. Capacitance and inductance measurements also support checks of reactive loads when investigating connected RF components.

Portable Operation and Connectivity

RigExpert AA-650 ZOOM displays results on a 320 × 240-pixel colour TFT screen, with an 18-key keypad, multilingual menus and a built-in Helper. USB provides computer connectivity, while Bluetooth Low Energy supports wireless connection to compatible laptops, tablets and smartphones. Three AA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries power the instrument, with up to four hours of continuous measurement using fully charged batteries. Supplied accessories include a soft case, charger, rechargeable batteries, USB cable, N-to-UHF adapter and user manual.
