Glensound SPARK 2 Dante Commentary Unit

Glensound SPARK 2 Dante Commentary Unit is a compact single-user solution for broadcast, sports, outside broadcast, live-event and studio production. It combines a professional microphone input, local headphone monitoring, programme output and two independently configurable talkback channels in a sub-compact desktop format. It is ideal for commentator positions where space is limited but reliable Dante network-audio connectivity is required.

Single-User Dante Commentary

Built around Audinate’s Broadway Dante chipset, SPARK 2 connects directly to a Dante network through a locking Neutrik EtherCON connection. It provides 8 Dante inputs and 8 Dante outputs, allowing programme, cue, IFB, communications and monitoring signals to be routed across the network. The balanced XLR microphone input has adjustable gain and supports line level, microphone level or microphone level with 48 V phantom power for professional dynamic and condenser microphones.

Two Talkback Channels

Two illuminated talkback buttons provide separate communications routes for a producer, director, technical team, camera position or other nominated destinations. Their operation can be configured for momentary, latching or intelligent modes using Glensound GlenController. A 6.35 mm headphone output provides local monitoring, while configurable Dante cue inputs allow the commentator to create an appropriate personal headphone mix.

Flexible Commentary Integration

Glensound SPARK 2 is suited to installations that require one commentator and two dedicated talkback routes without the footprint of a larger commentary panel. For one talkback circuit, choose the Glensound SPARK 1 Dante Commentary Unit. For three talkback channels, consider the Glensound SPARK 3 Dante Commentary Unit.
