Glensound Signature SW 8:2 8 Channel Source Selector Mixer provides flexible analogue source management for broadcast and production installations. It accepts eight mono inputs or four stereo input pairs and operates as either a source selector or a mixer. Balanced XLR connections, illuminated selection buttons and headphone monitoring provide straightforward control without relying on a computer or network connection.
Eight rear-panel three-pin Neutrik XLR sockets connect the incoming audio sources. A global mode setting configures them as eight mono channels or four stereo pairs. The eight illuminated front-panel buttons operate individually in mono mode and as four linked pairs in stereo mode. This arrangement suits applications ranging from selecting equipment feeds to expanding the available sources feeding a console input.
Glensound Signature SW 8:2 provides separate switch and mix modes. Switch mode selects a single mono source or stereo pair, while mix mode combines the selected sources at the output. Two balanced rear-panel XLR plugs carry the resulting mono or stereo signal. Rear-panel DIP switches configure mix/switch operation, mono/stereo mode and whether the line output follows the headphone volume control.
A front-panel 6.35 mm stereo headphone socket monitors the output, with a full-size volume control for local listening. Pre-volume output routing keeps the line feed independent of listening adjustments, while post-volume routing allows the control to affect the output level. An internal supply accepts 100–240 V AC through a filtered IEC inlet. A separate four-pin XLR accepts external ±12 V DC for compatible primary or backup powering.
