Glensound PARADISO 3-User Dante/AES67 Commentary Unit

Glensound PARADISO is a three-user Dante/AES67 commentary unit with individual headphone mixes, talkback controls, redundant copper and fibre network connections, and multiple power sources for live broadcasting.

Glensound PARADISO is a professional three-user Dante/AES67 commentary unit for sports coverage, outside broadcasts and live events. It supports three commentators working on a shared programme or three separate programmes, providing flexible microphone routing, talkback and personal monitoring. Local analogue and AES3 connections complement the network interface, allowing integration with conventional equipment and provision of backup audio circuits.

Three Independent Commentary Positions

Each commentator has a microphone input with selectable mic or line operation and switchable 48 V phantom power. Glensound’s Referee compressor/limiter helps control sudden speech peaks while preserving natural commentary sound. Configurable microphone and talkback controls allow the operating behaviour to match the production. The internal 32 × 32 matrix mixer provides flexible routing between audio sources and destinations, with configuration available through the control application.

Personal Headphone Monitoring

Three independent headphone amplifiers give each commentator control of their listening mix. Each position offers eight audio inputs with individual volume controls and left/right panning, allowing programme, cue and communications feeds to be balanced separately. Headphone outputs support impedances from 16 to 1000 ohms, automatically adapting the output level to the connected headphones.

Network and Power Resilience

Glensound PARADISO provides redundant Dante networking through two copper and two fibre interfaces. Four possible power sources—AC mains, primary-network PoE, secondary-network PoE and external DC—support resilient deployment. This combination helps engineers design commentary positions with alternative network and power paths, rather than relying on a single connection. Multiple units can serve larger events requiring separate commentary teams. Physical controls keep routine microphone, talkback and listening adjustments accessible to commentators.
