Glensound GS-TRRS X3 Mono Audio Interface for 3 Mobile Phones connects three compatible mobile devices to professional broadcast equipment through their analogue headset connections. Each interface converts broadcast line-level audio into a suitable phone microphone feed while simultaneously returning the phone’s headphone audio as a balanced mono signal. The 19-inch, 1U enclosure brings three phone connections together for newsroom and studio installations.
Each phone interface on the Glensound GS-TRRS X3 provides balanced mono audio input and output on three-pin XLR connectors. Stereo audio received from a connected TRRS device is summed to mono, making the return suitable for a mono broadcast input. The unit uses wired analogue audio rather than Bluetooth or a USB audio connection. Confirm that each handset provides a compatible microphone/headphone connection, directly or through an appropriate adapter.
Glensound GS-TRRS X3 provides front-panel controls for adjusting audio levels to and from the connected phones. PPM-style return metering gives operators a visible reference when balancing sources with different playback levels. A front-panel wiring selector accommodates the two TRRS headset wiring arrangements described by Glensound for Apple and Android devices. Select the correct arrangement for the connected phone and cable.
Front and rear TRRS sockets are provided for each phone interface. Front connections support convenient operator access, while rear connections suit permanent studio cabling. The unit operates from 100–240 V AC or an external DC supply. Connecting both supported power sources provides power-supply redundancy. Confirm the manufacturer-specified DC voltage arrangement, connector pinout and included accessories before commissioning.
