Housed in a 1U rackmount subrack, it is designed for straightforward setup and alteration of talkback feeds in studios and demanding environments such as outside-broadcast trucks.
The Glensound GS‑TBMM001 matrix routes any input to any output using front-panel switches, allowing operators to change talkback arrangements without relying on software-based configuration. Its six-input, six-output architecture provides a central point for organising multiple communication feeds. Transformer balancing on both sides supports integration with professional analogue broadcast equipment, while the physical routing controls keep the signal arrangement accessible during production.
Glensound GS-TBMM001 provides individual level controls for all inputs and outputs. Each input offers ±20 dB of gain adjustment, while each output provides ±10 dB. The manufacturer specifies unity-gain operation with a 0 dB input producing a 0 dB output. These separate adjustments help match source levels and destination requirements when setting up a talkback system.
A band-pass filter on each input conditions incoming audio before routing. Input and output overload indicators assist level setup, illuminating approximately 3 dB before the corresponding stage distorts. This gives operators a visible warning of reduced headroom and helps identify whether adjustment is needed at an input or output.
