The ASPiSYS DRMAX100 is a range of medium-power Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) Medium Wave (MW) transmitters designed for the AM band. These transmitters offer exceptional stability, thanks to the use of the latest technology in DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis)-based frequency generators. The DDS technology provides superior stability compared to traditional PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) systems.

Key features and instructions for operating the ASPiSYS DRMAX100:

  1. Power Connection:
    • Connect the transmitter to a wall outlet with AC voltage ranging from 220-240V or 110-120V (factory preset).
    • The AC input voltage is adjustable via an internal switch.
  2. RF Output Connection:
    • Always operate the unit with the RF Output connected to a 50 Ω antenna or a ‘dummy load’ to avoid damage.
  3. Audio Source Connection:
    • Connect your audio source to the corresponding Left (1) and Right (2) BNC front connectors.
    • Alternatively, connect the audio source to the rear XLR if you have a balanced audio feed.
  4. Encoder Software:
    • The recommended encoder software for your PC is the ‘SPARK DRM Modulator,’ which can be downloaded as freeware from www.drm-sender.de.
    • The freeware version supports monophonic DRM broadcasts using conventional audio encoding.
    • The licensed version of the SPARK DRM Modulator supports full DRM stereo quality as used by professional stations.
    • Additional details about the software can be obtained from SPARK’s website.
  5. Note:
    • The information about the recommended encoder software is provided for reference, and there are no affiliations with the mentioned company or site.

It’s important to follow these guidelines for proper operation and to ensure the longevity of the equipment. Users can refer to the provided website for more information on the software and its capabilities.
