The Altronic Research 6403 is a 3kW forced air cooled 50Ω RF dummy load designed for transmitter testing, commissioning, and maintenance in FM, VHF, and broadband RF systems. Part of the 6400 Series of air dielectric coaxial loads, it offers stable RF performance from DC to 240MHz with a maximum VSWR of 1.15:1, making it suitable for full-power off-air testing without radiating a signal.

A non-reactive resistor assembly is cooled by an internal fan system, while the compact oil-free design makes the load easy to place in crowded transmitter rooms. Versions are available with common RF input connector options including N-type female, 7/8″ EIA, and 1 5/8″ EIA, allowing straightforward integration with a wide range of broadcast transmission chains.
