Lucoro TX DIGICAST
DAB Audio Encoder
The Lucoro TX DIGICAST is an IP Encoder for cost conscious radio stations who demand uncompromising performance. Stereo audio studio feeds are encoded in HE-AACv2 format, compatible with most DAB+ Multiplexers. The input level is displayed on front panel LEDs. An AES EBU digital input option is also available.
This hardware-based solution is preferable to using a PC with an operating system and encoder software, which would require regular breaks in service for OS updates and maintenance. In addition to the increased reliability and WAN safety over using computers, the TX-DABENC costs less, and is easier to deploy.
Device configuration is performed via a front panel TCP/IP ethernet port, with the HE-AACv2 datastream sent separately to a fibre broadband connection via a rear panel Ethernet socket.
