The DR AIRENCE-USB model has 4 balanced mic inputs (+48 phantom is standard) with inserts for signal processors, 6 stereo line inputs, 4 USB channels, and 2 Telephone Hybrids (or VoIP channels).

​Fader starts generating in the Mic mode Mic-on signaling to switch ON-Air lights.

There is a 3-band Equalizer on channels 1-4 and on all 6 Triple input channels of the Extender Unit.

​The stereo Aux send can be set pre- or post-fader.

All high-quality low-noise mic inputs have low-cut jumpers in DR AIRENCE-USB.

​One physical USB connection interfaces 4 stereo audio channels from and to your PC, plus all (programmable) remote controls on the right-hand section of the mixer.

​24 illuminated (green/red or yellow) switches can be used to control functions in your Radio Automation, such as starting jingle machines and switching between live and NONstop.

Recording a voice track while ON-AIR is also one of the possibilities with D&R AIRENCE-USB.

​The illuminated front panel ON switch is electronically attached to the built-in mechanical fader start, enabling selection of a play-out start either by fader or via the ON switch.

Back panel

On the back panel of theD&R AIRENCE-USB Main unit you will find the Power Supply input. This is a 5 pin XLR connector with also a possibility to connect a second redundant Power Supply to your unit.

In case of choosing for the AES Output option, D&R AIRENCE-USB redundant Power Supply XLR connector will be used for the AES Output XLR.

​Also, you can find the USB connector to control your USB channels and the Control Panel on your computer.

Very simple; your computer will see a new USB device when connecting the Airence Main unit to your computer. Further configuration can be done by the software included in the unit.

By using the Extender Unit, you can very easily connect both units by using the 15P-Sub-D cable that will be included inside the package of the Extender device. Please be informed that both units always need to be powered OFF by connecting them to each other.

All in and output connections are on standard Jack / Cinch and XLR connectors.

If more inputs are needed, you can purchase the Airence-EXT(ender) unit, and instantly you have 6 more triple inputs with each giving you a low noise Mic and 2 stereo line inputs under control.

Line level B can be converted into a Phono pre-amp by way of the optional RIAA preamp that can be ordered as an option.

You can install as many Airence Extender units to your,

Main as required.

All units are easily connected with each other by an included 15P Sub-D connector.

VoIP

You can order the Airence-USB main unit with built-in VoIP channels on position 5 and/or 6 or even a combination of 1x Telco and 1x VoIP.

​Telco/VoIP Channel 5 and 6 have, apart from the stereo line input, also RJ-11 connectors to interface with an analogue telephone line and a common dial unit.

And in case a VoIP module is installed one of the RJ-11s is replaced by 1x USB connector, the other RJ-11 has a clean-feed signal on pin 1 and 4.

Both analog high-quality built-in Hybrids with R and C balance have direct Talkback to the Hybrid channels to make conversation with callers very easy.

​This is also possible when VoIP modules are built in. Also, by simply pushing the Cue button, the conversation between DJ and caller outside the broadcast is of course possible.

​If you would like to call with VoIP with the TELCO modules, we would advise using the CISCO SPA112 as an interface between our 2 Telephone modules and the Internet.

And in case you have an ISDN connection in your situation, we advise using the Fritz Box type 7390 to convert the ISDN into an analog line that can be connected directly to the Telco modules of the Airence mixer.

​THIS OPTION NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED BEFORE YOUR PURCHASE AND WILL BE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR AIRENCE MAIN UNITS THAT HAVE BEEN PRODUCED WITH SMD COMPONENTS.

​It’s ALSO POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE THIS BOARD ON AN LATER MOMENT AND BUILD-IN BY YOURSELF. YOU CAN PURCHASE THIS BOARD IN OUR WEBSHOP.

AES output

DR AIRENCE-USB also possible to add an optional AES output with a 3 pole XLR male connector inside the DR AIRENCE-USB Main unit.

​The AES output replaces the second 5 pole redundant XLR in that case.

RIAA pre-amp

It’s also possible to add on all six channels of your Airence Extender unit to our RIAA pre-amp board.

This will give you the option to connect the old fashion record player to the mixer, so good old times can come back to live on a new day piece of broadcast equipment.

​These board can be purchased also on a later moment inside our webshop and are very simple to connect inside the mixer on one of the boards by yourself.
