“Desktop” module (400 ÷ 550 MHz)
The MSR 918 transmitter module is the culmination of advanced wireless microphone technology, crucial in the new DVB-T era. It boasts high sensitivity and sharp selectivity, along with exceptional immunity to intermodulation and interference.
The matching receiver enables remote monitoring of the TX battery life and features a “digital sub-carrier tone-squelch.” This technology uses a dedicated sub-carrier with a frequency within the 32 kHz range. It digitally modulates this sub-carrier to transmit crucial operational data, including battery status and PTT button presses, all without compromising audio quality or bandwidth.
When used with the Base Unit of the Reportage System (and optionally with the built-in ITC 918 interface), the MSR 918 allows reporters to communicate directly with their team’s technicians. It achieves this by seamlessly switching the audio output from the “main line” to the auxiliary “intercom line” whenever the PTT button is pressed.
Additionally, the MSR 918 includes a 1 kHz calibrating tone generator, making it easy to test audio line output and mixer input.
